Many people often wonder, 'What does missions in Norway entail?' It's a valid question. As I grew up, my perception of missions was primarily focused on providing aid in African orphanages - a very important part of international missions, no doubt, but certainly not the entire picture.
So, what does missions in Norway look like?
In practical terms, our mission is to inspire and empower the youth while encouraging believers to embrace their God given purpose. Our aim is to activate Norwegians, recognizing that they are the ones who will make a lasting impact in their communities.
As part of a dynamic tour team, we'll be journeying across the country over the course of ten weeks, visiting five distinct cities: Arendal, Kristiansand, Bergen, Songdal, and Ålesund. At each stop, we engage with local pastors and ministries, not simply to preach and organize events, but to genuinely support and collaborate with them. We seek to understand their needs and work together to amplify the impact of their ministries. For instance, our activities range from hosting worship nights with a message and evangelism activation, to visiting houses of Muslim refugees from Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria.
Our primary focus is on youth aged 12-25, spanning across middle school, high school, and university demographics. Our goal is to empower them to embrace their identity in Christ and equip them to positively influence their workplaces, schools, and churches.
I am filled with anticipation, eagerly awaiting how God will reveal Norwegians' inherent potential as passionate disciples of Jesus and their collaboration with those who have dedicated years to fostering transformation in Norway.
Down below, I'll have some pictures from previous and current ministry!
