The final weeks in Norway

It’s been a few weeks since I last updated you on my time in Norway and what the Lord has been doing here. These past weeks have been nothing short of amazing, filled with witnessing God move in incredible ways.

We spent our final weeks in two cities, Sogndal and Alesund. Our time in Sogndal was rich with various activities, including evangelism, preaching, hosting teachings and mini DTS, Bible studies, and working with internationals from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, and many other countries.

Testimonies from our time in Sogndal:

- On May 16th, we decided to do late-night evangelism from 10 PM to 2 AM. This night is significant because it precedes Norway’s national holiday and marks the end of 'Russ' for high schoolers. Many people drink excessively, and there are numerous kids on the streets. We handed out over 100 free pancakes and preached the gospel to many throughout the night! We witnessed God speaking truth and identity into many young people, miraculously sobering some, and even saw two individuals give their lives to Jesus! We connected them with the local YWAM team and church, helping them find a solid community.

- Throughout our three weeks in Sogndal, we hosted 'international youth nights' for local kids from other nations. It was a chance to get to know them and make them feel seen in a welcoming environment. We played games and spent time with these kids, building intentional relationships. By the end of our stay, their families invited us over for tea to share their stories. We listened to their accounts of escaping Syria, Iran, and Afghanistan. It was an honor to hear their stories and understand the realities of life in the Middle East. Despite their Muslim faith, we prayed for them and blessed their families, allowing them to see the love of Jesus through our intentional relationships.

- We hosted a mini DTS attended by about 15 people, where we taught on the gospel, sharing testimonies, the power of prayer, intimacy with the Holy Spirit, hearing God’s voice, and more! These teachings empowered many youth who had never shared their faith before or didn’t know how to. It was incredible to see them step out in faith, understanding the simplicity of Jesus' love.

Testimonies from Alesund:

- During one of our street worship and prayer sessions, a lovely couple from Taiwan joined us in singing and praying. We were blessed to spend time with them and pray for them. We also gave out flowers with notes on them, and through this creative evangelism, many people were touched by Jesus' loving nature.

- We visited a church about an hour and a half from Alesund, where we worshipped, prayed, and preached a message on wholehearted love. During our time there, we connected with the youth, and one young girl gave her life to Jesus that night!

These are just a handful of testimonies from our last weeks in Norway. It was an honor and a joy to witness the passion and drive of the Norwegian people as they embraced their identity in Christ. Throughout our time in Norway, we felt we were able to give people permission—permission to pursue Jesus wholeheartedly without fear or shame. We built many incredible relationships that I will cherish forever. We saw God move powerfully with healing, words of knowledge, and fresh encounters. My time in Norway was both sweet and profound. It was beautiful to see Jesus touch so many lives through our team. I can’t wait to continue seeing teams sent to Norway, returning with a deeper understanding of God’s character, a greater hunger for the gospel, and a reverence for the beauty of this incredible nation.
